The ‘Atelier de Musique’ Mo’zar was founded in 1996 by a performing musician/socio-musicologist, trained at the Dansk Conservatorium in Denmark. The dream behind this project was to share his knowledge and his love of music to children who have not succeeded in their primary studies and who surprisingly were talented in the field of music.

To discover and develop talent for a career in music is a means to fight poverty and exclusion for children from underprivileged regions of Mauritius. The students are given the opportunity to acquire strong foundations of contemporary music, theory and technique, and then build upon that foundation by learning the practical, professional skill needed to have a career in music. The success of the project lies in the fact that Atelier Mo’zar is the most well-known learning lab for the contemporary music in the region.

NATEC Medical endeavors to finance Atelier Mo’zar projects on a regular basis.
